About Us

What began in 1883 as a small schoolhouse located along the Pecos River, Pecos-Barstow-Toyah Independent School District is now a fully operating district for PK-12 education. Located in West Texas between the Permian Basin and the mountainous terrain of El Paso, PBTISD is the premier provider of education for over 2600 students with 5 campuses. At PBTISD we are Inspiring and Empowering for Excellence among our students and staff every day.

PECOS-BARSTOW-TOYAH ISD ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 68.53 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $347.52.
