Last Tuesday, the Pecos Varsity Lady Eagles fought hard in a back-and-forth match against Midland Trinity, ultimately falling in five sets (18-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-17, 6-15).
Leading the offense, Zarilynn Archuleta recorded 9 kills while Jerykah Velasquez added 8. On the defensive side, Carriz Hernandez tallied an impressive 23 digs and Azerlynn Perez chipped in 14. Brooke Garcia helped direct the attack with 14 assists, keeping the Eagles competitive throughout the night.
Despite dropping the first two sets, the Lady Eagles rallied to take the next two, forcing a decisive fifth set. Midland Trinity pulled away late, sealing the match, but Pecos showed resilience and fought from start to finish.
