On Monday, November 11, the 7th and 8th grade A and B teams traveled to the Reeves County Recreational Center for their home game against the Andrews Mustangs. The Lady Eagles showed their skills, thanks to the coaching from Vanessa Pena, Jared Mondragon, Kailey Dominguez, and Priscilla Ramirez.
According to Coach Kailey Dominguez, “Overall, we played well. By halftime, we were tied, which speaks to the team’s effort and resilience. Even though two players got hurt, I’m proud of how we’re adjusting, especially since this team was in 6th grade last year. The way we’re coming together is impressive, and it’s exciting to see the progress we’re making. It’s rewarding to work with these athletes and help them grow.
The change to playing at the Rec Center is an adjustment, but it’s a step forward. Change can be challenging, but it’s also a sign of progress, bringing us closer to our new school. We’ll stay focused on making the best of it and continuing to grow as a team."
