The Pecos Lady Eagles put together a strong showing Saturday afternoon, September 13, as they took down the Crane Golden Cranes in front of an energized crowd. The Lady Eagles controlled the match in four sets, winning 27–25, 25–13, 22–25, 25–19.
The opening set set the tone for the day as Pecos fought through a back-and-forth battle, eventually edging Crane 27–25. The Lady Eagles then caught fire in the second set, pulling away for a decisive 25–13 win. Crane responded in the third with a 25–22 victory, but Pecos regrouped and finished strong, closing out the match with a 25–19 win in the fourth.
Leading the charge for the Lady Eagles was Zarilynn Archuleta, who dominated at the net and from the service line with 9 kills and 5 aces. Brooke Garcia kept the offense moving with 24 assists, setting up her teammates for scoring opportunities all afternoon. On defense, Fehaira Aguirre was a steady presence in the back row, finishing with 12 digs to help keep rallies alive.
