PBTISD Celebrates 17 Educators for Achieving Texas Teacher Incentive Allotment Designations

PECOS, TX — Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD (PBTISD) proudly recognizes 17 outstanding educators who have earned designations through the Texas Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program. These educators have demonstrated exceptional impact in the classroom, earning one of three prestigious designations: Recognized, Exemplary, or Master. Additionally, four educators in this year’s class have moved up in their designations from the 2024-2025 school year.

The Texas Teacher Incentive Allotment was established to reward highly effective teachers and retain top talent in the classroom. Educators who earn a TIA designation receive financial incentives while helping advance student achievement across the district.

"We are incredibly proud of these educators for their hard work and commitment to student success," said Superintendent Brent Jaco. “Their dedication, expertise, and passion for teaching are evident in the impact they have on our students every day. This recognition is a well-deserved honor, and we are grateful to have such exceptional teachers leading our classrooms."

The Master designation is the highest distinction within the TIA program, recognizing teachers who demonstrate the most significant impact on student learning. The Exemplary designation is awarded to educators whose students achieve above-average academic growth, while the Recognized designation honors teachers with strong instructional effectiveness and student success.

PBTISD remains committed to elevating the teaching profession, investing in educator growth, and ensuring students receive the highest quality education.
