This summer, Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD is helping ensure children across the community continue to have access to nutritious meals while school is out through its Free Summer Meal Bundle Program.
Beginning Thursday, May 28, PBTISD will provide free 3-day and 4-day meal bundles to all children 18 years old and younger every Monday and Thursday throughout the month of June. The meal bundles will include cold and frozen food items that families can easily prepare at home.
Children do not have to be enrolled in Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD to participate in the program. Families throughout the community are encouraged to register to ensure meal availability. Parents and guardians may pick up meals for registered children at multiple convenient locations across the area.
Students attending summer school will continue to receive daily meals on campus and will also qualify for additional 3-day meal bundles.
Meal pick-up times are:
Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Meal bundle pick-up locations include:
Mata Service and Support Center
Crockett Middle School
Zavala Elementary
Barstow Community Center
Green Acres/Lindsey Addition (El Mercadito)
The Summer Meal Bundle Program is part of PBTISD’s continued efforts to support student success and meet the needs of families across the district and surrounding communities.
Families interested in participating are encouraged to complete registration as soon as possible to help the district prepare the appropriate number of meal bundles for distribution.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
