Welcome Back To School PBTISD! We are excited to welcome all our staff and students back for another school year! The First Day of School is Monday, August 10! 

You can find any and all resources to get you and your students ready for this school year. Come back occasionally to see if new information has been added! If you have any trouble, remember you can always use our "Just Ask!" chatbot on the right corner of this webpage. We can't wait to welcome your student back for the 2026-2027 school year!

Registration

Registration begins on July 28! We are so excited to welcome our students back for another year of learning. Secondary students MUST be registered before receiving their class schedule.

Returning Students

In-Person or Online

The online portal for returning students will open at 8 a.m. on July 27! If you do not remember your login information to the portal, please contact your student's campus directly.

New Students

In-Person ONLY

In-person registration will begin on Monday, July 27, at 8 am.

Where: The campus your student will be attending

  • Austin Elementary (PK to 1st) - 1305 W Veterans Blvd

  • Zavala Elementary (2nd to 5th) - 600 E 9th St

  • Crockett Middle School (6th to 8th) - 1801 Texas

  • Pecos High School (9th to 12th) - 1300 W. Washington St. (PHS CTE)

In-Person Hours: 8 am - 12 pm OR 1 pm - 4 pm

Please Bring:

  • Birth Certificate

  • Up-to-date Shot Record

  • Student Social Security Card

  • A Parent's Driver's License or State ID

  • Proof of residency in PBTISD

NO IN-PERSON REGISTRATION: August 4 (AM)

School Supplies

PBTISD is excited to provide ALL students with FREE school supplies for the 2026-2027 school year. All necessary supplies, such as notebooks, pencils, pens, and crayons, are covered by PBTISD! This will allow for the growth of a positive learning environment for all students and eliminate financial burdens for our families.

**This does not include backpacks**

Your student's school supplies will be distributed to them on the first day of school! You can view a grade-level breakdown below.

Dress Code

Four changes have been made to the student Dress Code for the 2026-2027 school year:

  • Flip-Flops and "Bathroom Shoes" are no longer allowed to be worn on campus

  • Shorts shall be no

    higher than four inches above the top of the kneecap.

  • Tights and “yoga-type” bottoms are not allowed unless worn with an outer garment.

  • Sunglasses shall not be worn anywhere on your body inside school buildings except as may be allowed for

    approved school activities or for documented medical reasons.

Meet the Teacher

Both Austin Elementary and Zavala Elementary will be hosting "Meet the Teacher" on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Check SchoolStatus regularly for more information or updates.

Pecos High School

Students will be taking ID pictures and receiving their devices for the new year.

Back to School Bash

The Bash is Back! Join PBTISD and other local organizations to ring in the new school year at our annual Back to School Bash!

When: August 5 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm
Where: Reeves County Civic Center

Interested in being a vendor? Vendors looking to sell merchandise must donate $100 to participate in the Bash. This $100 will go into the general student activity fund to be used by Crockett and PHS. The deadline to submit a vendor application is July 31 at 5 PM.
