Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD is proud to announce that 46 seniors from Pecos High School will graduate from Odessa College with their Associate of Arts in General Studies before receiving their high school diplomas. These students, who make up 25% of the Pecos High School Class of 2025, will participate in Odessa College’s commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
Earning an associate degree requires the successful completion of 60 college credit hours, which these students accomplished throughout their high school careers by taking dual-credit courses. These courses, offered through a partnership between PBTISD and Odessa College, provide students with college-level instruction across a variety of academic disciplines.
“This is an outstanding accomplishment for our students and a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and focus,” said Superintendent Brent Jaco. “To graduate from college before high school isn’t just an academic milestone; it’s a demonstration of what can happen when opportunity meets determination. These students are setting the standard for what it means to be college and career-ready.”
