This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's maintenance and operations tax levy. This is a result of increased values across our area. To offset the additional amount, the District lowered the tax rate by 2 cents. Over the last five years, the District has lowered the tax rate by $0.125 (12 1/2 cents). We are committed to fiscal responsibility to our taxpayers.
