Remember, Friday, January 31 is an Early Release Day at 12:30 p.m.! Students will be served lunch before dismissal.🦅⏰

We hope you have been enjoying the long weekend! Just a reminder, school resumes tomorrow at 8 a.m. for a regular school day.
As we are experiencing colder weather tomorrow morning, we want to ensure our students are prepared for the chill. Here are some tips to help everyone bundle up and stay warm:
🧥Layer Up: Dress in layers to trap heat. A thermal shirt, sweater, and a winter jacket are recommended.
🧤Hats and Gloves: Don't forget to wear a hat to retain body heat, and gloves to protect your hands from the cold.
🧦🥾Warm Footwear: Ensure your student wears warm and insulated footwear to keep their feet cozy. Or, wear two pairs of socks.
🧣Scarves: A scarf can be a great addition to keep the neck warm. Make sure it's snug but not too tight.
Should any weather developments happen overnight we will notify families first via ClassTag. We look forward to seeing our students back in school tomorrow! 🦅

Attention PBTISD community,
Due to recent vandalism, the Crockett Middle School track and field will be closed to the public until further notice.

The month of January is #SchoolBoardRecognitionMonth. This year's theme is "Locally Elected, Community Connected". Join us in highlighting our School Board Trustees and their involvement in the greater Pecos, Barstow, and Toyah area!🦅🤩
First up we have our PBTISD School Board President, AlexAndrea Zamarripa! 🌟 Not only is she a dedicated leader in education, but she also shines in various roles within our Pecos community. As a Catechism teacher, she guides young minds through spiritual growth, from 2nd grade to Confirmation. AlexAndrea spearheads Operation Christmas Child Pecos, spreading joy globally with over 1200 gift-filled shoeboxes since 2018. 🎁
But that's not all—since 2014, she has been hosting the Annual Zubeldia Energy Services Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon, expressing gratitude to our local heroes.👮🏻 In 2023, she founded the Zubeldia Energy Services Cinco de Mayo Scholarship Golf Tournament, awarding $10,000 in scholarships in its inaugural year. ⛳ AlexAndrea's commitment has extended to the Relay for Life, where she served for years, earning the prestigious Purple Passion Award in 2013. 🏆
And let's not forget her coaching role with the Pecos Jr. Eagles, instilling team spirit in the youth. Plus, AlexAndrea volunteered at the community Thanksgiving meal, personally crafting 16 trays of stuffing, adding warmth to the holiday for all. 🍂
AlexAndrea Zamarripa, is a true embodiment of #LocallyElected and #CommunityConnected. We're proud to have her shaping the future of education and making a lasting impact on our Pecos community! 🎓🌍
