The salaries listed above are based on 10-month employment for the 2024-2025 school year. Salary plans are determined annually, and salary advancement is not guaranteed. Pay increases are based on the annual pay raise budget approved by the Board of Trustees.

The Average Teacher Salary - $66,597.00 ($58,000.00 minimum; $77,095.00 maximum)

Annual Stipends

At PBTISD, we recognize and value the dedication of our certified educators by offering annual certification-based stipends. These stipends, ranging from $1,500 to $4,000, serve as a token of appreciation for teachers who hold certification of expertise in certain areas such as Math/Science Grades 6-12, Special Education, Bilingual education, ESL instruction, and those holding an Advanced Graduate Degree. These incentives reflect our commitment to supporting ongoing professional development and rewarding excellence in teaching.

  • $4,000 Math/Science Grades 6-12

  • $3,000 Special Education

  • $3,000 Bilingual

  • $1,750 ESL

  • $1,500 Advanced Graduate Degree

Daycare Services

PBTISD is proud to offer daycare service to our staff members with small children! The PBTISD Discovery School services ages 6 weeks to 4 years old and is a certified daycare center. To learn more visit our Discovery School page.

Staff Housing

PBTISD has over 100 housing units ready for teachers to call home! The district offers 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom units. Additionally, we just opened a NEW apartment complex just a few blocks from Zavala Elementary. Utilities are included with rent and staff can expect the following prices:

  • $725 for 1 bedroom

  • $925 for 2 bedroom

  • $1050 for 3 bedroom
